Publications

The main activities of this center's publication unit are enumerated as under:

A) Printing and publishing the works of late Grand Ayatollah Fazel Lankarani on Quran, beliefs, Jurispru-dence and the theory of jurisprudence.

B) Printing and publishing the research works accomplished by the researchers of the Jurisprudence Center such as the Children's Encyclopedia of Islamic Laws, the Comprehensive Contemporary Jurispru-dential Issues etc.

C) Dedicating thousands of books each year to applicant libraries in and out Iran with the aim of introducing Shi'ite books and promoting Shia culture in the Islamic world.

E) Taking part in the international book fairs in and out of Iran.

It has so far, with the assistance and collaboration of the International Affairs department of the Office of late Grand Ayatollah Fazel Lankarani (may his soul rest in peace), taken part in as many as 21 international book fairs in Syria, Oman, Kuwait, Bahrain, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Lebanon, Yemen, Tunisia and the United Arab Emirates.

Participation in these fairs entails the following benefits:

It helps the Shi'ites living in other countries to get ideologically strengthened, and to feel honored, elated and proud.

Dissemination of Shia jurisprudence and its teachings through the demonstrative works written by great scholars especially Grand Ayatollah Fazel Lankarani, a well-known scholar in the Islamic world. These are done in such environments where as regular more than 95 percent of participants are publishers' belonging to the Sunni school of thought.

And finally, providing a suitable opportunity of research for other Muslims and researchers to go through the jurisprudence of the Shia school of thought. Many Sunni Muslims who have read our books admitted that what they had been taught is different from what they directly learnt from Shia books.

These books gain so broad acceptance among Ahl-e Sunnat and in their universities that they are sometimes recognized and referred as sourcebooks.
